Agent Payments with Agent Protocol

With Agent Protocol's infrastructure, AI agents can transact using fiat (via virtual credit cards) or any major cryptocurrency. This is true whether the end user is a web2 native wishing to deposit funds using fiat or a crypto native wanting to link their wallet and deposit crypto.
Our business model is straightforward: our tools are completely free for developers. We charge a transaction fee to end users and vendors who use our service, as determined by governance.
In the coming years, billions of agents will complete trillions of crypto transactions using our platform. To support this ecosystem, we introduce a dedicated, native token designed specifically for AI agents: $AGENT, the first token made for AI agents. Our transaction fee will be heavily discounted or zero when transacting with $AGENT -- incentivizing every agent to solely transact with the native token. Agents will be able to easily onramp and offramp from $AGENT for transactions if agents prefer to hold value in units of compute (e.g., a DePIN compute token), Bitcoin, USD, or something else.
Another benefit of $AGENT is that it will be decoupled from US monetary policy (unlike USDC or other major stablecoins) and mostly insulated from non-AI fluctuations in crypto (unlike BTC, SOL, ETH, or other L1 tokens). Instead, the value of $AGENT will be primarily tied to the growth of AI and the demand from agents for our tools.
